S01E14 – Fathers, Family, and Changing Your Role
The relationship between Ivanova and her father brings up a lot for Dr Song. She talks a lot about her father, family dynamics, and change as healing.
S1E13 – What Do You Want?
This is the first episode of Babylon 5 that Dr Song thoroughly enjoyed from a fan perspective. I can say that I have never witnessed her so excited about an episode.
S01E12 β The Reed Is Stronger
The green reed which bends in the wind is stronger than the mighty oak which breaks in a storm.
S01E11 – Forgiveness and Flow
Once Dr Song removes her wall of apprehension and preconceptions, her emotions begin to flow freely and the entire session proceeds in a therapeutic way.
S01E10 – Narcissistic, Disrespectful, and Biased (Oh My)
Despite many people considering this episode to be controversial, I believe it to be one of the worst in season 1. Dr Song has plenty to say about it though.
S01E09 – Mindful Discomfort And Realizing Your Truths
This session is a great example of the Media Therapy Modality working as intended. If you wanted clear examples of how it works, this will be ideal viewing.
B5Psyke New Studio Intro
Just a quick video from Dr Song to test the acoustics of the new studio corner. Thanks everyone for your patience all this time.
S01E08 – Mental Illness, Memory, and Mystery
Dr Song is officially hooked on B5 now and she shares her thoughts about her life, her work with dementia patients, and the use of psychotropics in psychology.
S01E07 – Regret, Racism, and Change
The obvious subject of this episode isn't what resonates with Dr Song, but this session does contain some emotional content that she handles extremely well.
S01E06 – On Dreams, Love, and Becoming
Many aspects of this episode really resonated with Dr Song and her journey towards her own "becoming".
S01E05 – Relationships, Resolution, and Rebirth
Dr Song gets into some great topics including her own limitations, our 10+ year friendship, the Korean concept of nunchi (λμΉ), and what the Minbari rebirth ceremony means for her.
S01E04 – Victim Blaming and Sloppy Messaging
I have always felt there were so many things wrong with Infection. It's actually not an episode I wanted to include in this project. But I'm glad I did.
S01E03 – Final Thoughts and Favorite Moments
Dr Song spends the first 18 minutes finishing up her thoughts on Ivanova's vulnerability. The remainder is all about her favorite moments from the episode.
S01E03 – Anger, Shame, Forgiveness and Tears
This session on episode 3 "Born To The Purple" was very long and very emotional. This first part contains a very emotional breakthrough at the end.
S01E02 – On Disrespect and Triggers
After discussing the main content of the show, Dr Song brought up a very specific trigger she had during a scene with Sinclair and Delenn. This is something unique to her and I think also unique to the times we're watching the show in ...
S01E02 – Soul Hunter Thoughts
Great day of filming. Dr Song was feeling really good and her usual chronic health issues and pain was very manageable. This video was actually several hours long and all of it interesting. I tried to trim it down without taking out much. It was a rare, good day, so I wanted to preserve as much of that as...
S01E01 – Media Therapy Focus Clips
While this first day of filming didn't go quite as planned (Jennie wasn't feeling too well), I think some great thoughts and self-analysis came out of it.
2022 Introduction
Dr Jennie Song has returned! Her first day of filming after a 10 year hiatus from everything that wasn't related to her journey to become a clinical psychologist.
