Many aspects of this episode really resonated with Dr Song and her journey towards her own “becoming”. In the 10+ years that I have known her she has been on a very difficult path of reconciling her past so she can begin moving towards her future. She deeply regrets the loss of time and the loss of functionality due to her body essentially falling apart and fighting itself because of an immune disease. The line from the Native American song of defiance that is spoken by Jason Ironheart in this episode (You cannot harm me) resonates with her in a deeply profound way as do the messages of love and the pain of ascension in this episode.
